In lieu of this hungry ghost festive month, many folks had some stories to share that could make our goose bumps rising. I too had many similar stories to share but for now, I would pick one story that happened to me when I was in the 4th confinement week after delivering baby Kyson.

I was in the living room together with baby Kyson. The living room fan and the mini Hi-5 radio were switched on. I was listening to the radio all morning and have switched off the radio after lunch. There were only both of us in the house as the confinement lady went home after lunch.

The confinement lady double-boiled a concoction and reminded me to switch off the gas stove at 2pm. She had left the house at 1pm. I was laying on the couch watching TV while baby in his basinet. I got tired, switched off the TV and not long later, I dozed off. I was woken not by baby but by my radio. The music was on and I was scared. I stayed calm thereafter and started thinking. Why is the radio on? Is there something that I should be doing?

To be continued…
