Kyson is going to be 6 months old in 12 days time. What can he do now? His weight is 7.9 kg - didn’t increase for the past one month due to him coughing and feverish. At times it was so easy to feed him medicine while at times I had to force the medicine down his throat.

To date, he has taken 2 types of antibiotic. His first dose of antibiotic started on March 1, 2010.

Recently I also gave him some water to drink in between meals and he loves drinking water to medicine. He knew what I am about to give him, water or medicine. He will close his mouth if it is medicine and open his mouth if it is water. All my babies are naturally smart in rejecting the weird sweet taste of medicine but welcomed the bitter taste of some Chinese medicine such as Bou Ying Compound.

Early last month, I also started giving Kyson Rusk biscuits (meant for 6 months old baby) when he was only 4 months back then.

As for me, I have 12 more days to achieve what I have set in my New Year’s resolution. I wanted to be slim, weighing only 55kg by March 22. My weight is like a yo-yo, going up and down and up, from 55.9 to 55.3 to 55.7. Looks like I have to exercise, maybe on a dip station for the next 12 days if I want to be 55kg. All these while, I depended solely on breastfeeding to lose weight. Maybe I should cut down my food intake too, as I have been eating lots of Chinese New Year cookies.
