Hello everybody. My name is Kyson. I am now 9 days old and the nurses from the government clinic came and visit my mummy and me 3 days in a row since Monday. Initially daddy went to the clinic to inform them that mummy had delivered me but we were still in the hospital. Then daddy called them to inform that mummy and I were back home already but they never came to visit mummy and me last Thursday and Friday. So mummy called the clinic on Monday and they came to our house 10 minutes after the call. Very efficient, aren’t they?

They checked mummy and me. They took mummy’s blood pressure and the reading was normal. Mummy was so worried before the nurses came because I had jaundice on the third day. My two elder sisters were hospitalised and under phototheraphy for a day for jaundice. Mummy and daddy knew I wouldn’t be spared from jaundice too.

A week had passed and this time mummy and daddy didn’t take me, unlike my two sisters, to the hospital. They were hoping that the jaundice will be gone after one week. Mummy also ate less ginger during confinement so that I will not have severe jaundice. Before I was born, mummy also ate lots of lady’s fingers (at least once a week) to prevent me from having jaundice. So when the nurses came on Monday, my jaundice had disappeared and mummy was so happy that day.

Today the nurses came again and took off all my clothes the moment they saw me. She then wrapped me in a thin napkin and weighed me by hanging me. My weight has dropped from 3.3 kg to 3 kg only.

Day and night, I only drink mummy’s milk. When ever I make noise, mummy will pop her breast to me. I love being a baby. My jobscope is to drink and sleep only, and not to forget to pee, poo and cry too. I have no worries to think about, while daddy and mummy had to worry financially. For several times when I woke up today, I saw mummy online. She sat in front of the laptop and mummy was surfing wholesaleinsurance.net for the best life insurance for me. What took her so long to decide, I wonder?

I will be the youngest child in the family, as mummy had decided to close shop after giving birth to me. In mummy’s mind, she always tell me that I am a miracle boy. Wanna know why? Go and ask my mummy lah!
