A very busy Saturday for me and De’Little Ones.

I wasn’t planning to go to Kylie’s preschool sports day last Saturday, as I knew it would be a hectic day for me if I went. I needed to cook lunch, see my gynae and take Kylie to her music lesson. But I changed my mind before going to bed on Friday night after hearing what Kylie said to me. She said, “I will forget you when I go to Sports Day” and she started sobbing. She wanted me to go together with her and daddy. She wanted the whole family (she stressed on the word FAMILY) to be together to witness her getting a trophy. I almost cried when I heard her saying this. So, no matter how hectic the day would be, I promised that I would be going with her, daddy and Kylin. She was so happy and slept soon after.

We woke up early the next day. We were supposed to reach the stadium before 8a.m. but we reached there at 8.30a.m. Based on last year’s Sports Day schedule, we knew the event was going to start around that time. So, this year we were right on time when we reached there.

We waited and waited for her turn. After 2.5 hours of waiting, she finally played her class game, entitled “Strong Will”. She was in YELLOW house color and her group came in third when they played the game. In fact, THIRD = LAST. Anyhow, all participants will each received a trophy and she didn’t really know her group came in FIRST, SECOND or THIRD. It didn’t matter as long as she gets to bring home a trophy. She was happy to get a bronze trophy and said she now had 5 trophies in total.

Daddy also participated in Father vs Father event. His group (10 participants in each group) won the competition and they each received a present (a face towel). Kylie then asked why I didn’t participate in any of the games and I told her I cannot.

“Mummy’s tummy is so big so now with a baby inside. So Mummy cannot play.” I explained.

She then said the game was pretty easy and I can participate. True enough. The game was pretty easy for Mother vs Teacher event but I explained to her that mummy cannot play because mummy didn’t know what game mummy would be playing if I signed up.

The whole event finished at 1.10pm. When we reached home, I immediately cook 3 simple dishes (fried eggs, fish ball soup and stir fried carrot with mushroom) in half an hour. Kylie and Kylin were so hungry and tired.
