Since last Friday, hubby and I started to work late again. By the time we reached home, De’Little Ones were already in the dreamland on the same single mattress. We fetched them home, took our shower and it was almost 12 midnight. Luckily we had the weekend to rest.
Same thing happened on Monday. We reached home past midnight and both of them were sleeping. Kylin slept on the sofa and Kylie slept on the mattress.
The next morning, I told Kylie that Mommy and Daddy would be home late again. Then she said this, “Cannot finish your work, then bring back home and finish it at home “lah”.”
Ha! Ha! Ha! How I wish! I guessed she must have missed both of us badly. Only managed to catch a glimpse of both our faces early in the morning before going to school.
For the third time, we went home late again but this time I was shocked to see Kylie still reading her storybooks. When I looked at the clock, it was 12.10 a.m. and by the time we reached home and put her to bed, it was 12.40 a.m. Kylie kept on telling us that she wanted to go to “Selamat Hari Raya” before dozing off to dreamland.
The next two days were public holidays. Hubby and I were so tired due to lack of sleep and working ourselves out in the office. So we spent our holidays at home only. Kylie woke up very early the next day and kept on saying that she wanted to go to “Selamat Hari Raya”. Where to go? We had few Malay friends and none of them invited us to their open house this year. Maybe we were all so busy rushing to complete a project. Moreover, we were so tired and hubby and I had flu. So better stay at home and I can look for the best acne treatments. Rushing and staying up so late for the past few nights made me so restless. On the second day of Raya, we went shopping and that was Kylie’s “Selamat Hari Raya” that she wanted all these while. ![]()
