Chinese New Year is approaching. It will be the year of Ox and we will be celebrating Chinese New Year on the 26 and 27 of Jan 2009. As usual, I need to buy new clothes for De’Little Ones, clean the house, bake cookies and start estimating how much of “Ang Pow” money to distribute […]

It has been more than a month since I last made cookies for De’Little Ones. The last time I tried, the dough turns up too soft. So I couldn’t use the Hello Kitty mould to press the cookies. I must have used the wrong recipe.
Christmas is not too far away and I am planning to […]

This is what we eat for breakfast five days in a week. Only during weekends, our breakfast is NOT bread. We needed “time off” from eating bread. Darn bored if eats bread for breakfast everyday.
Bread making has been my alternate night routine. The timer is set and the breadmaker will start kneading in the wee hours the next […]

This plastic Hello Kitty cookies/toast/moon cake mould is really overpriced. It cost slightly below RM10 but still worth buying for De’Little Ones. You can order locally from New Stylish Tokyo or you can try hunting this mould from Takashimaya, Singapore, since my friend bought it from Takashimaya, Japan. It is only a little cheaper if you buy from Japan as compared […]

Thanks to my friend, Umie, for buying the cookies mould from Takashimaya in Yokohama, Japan. She searched few places and finally found them. She bought two boxes for me and another two boxes for our friend.
Each box comes with two moulds and the cost of one box was 630 Yen (around RM20) after the 5% tax.
Here’s the receipt and I’ll slowly post the […]

I am looking forward to seeing my friend coming back from Japan next week. I have asked her to buy the Disney’s cookies mould for me and I hope she will remember and able to find the mould. I like the Kitty’s and Pooh’s mould when I saw them at Chin Nee’s blog. I calculated […]

Prices of so many things have gone up. I couldn’t believe it when I saw the price tag on the 1 kilogram high protein flour. I used to buy it at RM2.10 ten months ago and now it cost me RM3.60 per pack of 1 kg. Barely two months ago, I bought it at RM3.10 […]

Sunday is another busy day for me. I made sausage buns and red bean buns with little Kylie helping me. She is very obedient and she had great fun rolling and twisting the dough before inserting the red beans or sausages. She enjoyed having her hands filled with flour and pressing the dough flat. I […]

I have been eating marmite since I was a little baby and same goes to De’Little Ones too. Recently, my boss resigned and we gave him a farewell lunch. One of the dishes ordered was Marmite Chicken.
It taste so good that I decided to try it out.

Marinade the chicken with 1 big spoonful of marmite, some dark and […]

For the past 2 months, Sunday is a rest day for me. Doing nothing. Just took care of my 2 little kids at home. But today, I don’t know what got into me and I accomplished a lot of things that I procastinated while hubby took care of Kylin (the whole day). Yahoooo! I have a […]

Few days late for posting this.

I baked cornflake cookies last Saturday. See the dough? Kylin was trying to grab the bowl. She will grap anything placed in front of her.
It all started with me going to the website searching for cornflake cookie recipe. Then I found it but *alamak* I don’t have eggs. So hubby went to nearby sundry shop to buy […]

De’Little Ones and including us, love to eat bread. We have been buying and eating Gardenia bread as breakfast for years. Very troublesome as every alternate day, we have to drop by the sundry shop. Do you know that some sundry shops will actually give you 20 cents discount for a small loaf** of bread? […]

The first time I bake buns, Kylie was helping me to add all the ingredients into the bread pan. She was having fun playing “masak masak” (cooking). While waiting for the dough to be mixed, Kylie dozed off, taking her afternoon nap. Then I continued to shape the dough into dozens of buns and added […]
