After driving the second hand car for three months, my husband finally received his car’s invoice. Hubby had been complaining silently and chasing his friend’s husband for the invoice for months. Furthermore, hubby had to go to the salesman’s house to collect it. What a “superb” service offered by him!

Hubby started to chase for the original invoice, which they promised to issue once they received the full payment. But they failed to do so. The excuses made were like - already given, posted the invoice through normal mail and even sometimes they were confused between invoice and receipt. Luckily we bought the car with cash (cheap car) and not through HP finance or rv finance, otherwise we may face more headache.

Well, we have learned many valuable lessons from this purchase. Hope we will be smarter when dealing with second hand car dealer in the future.

I was so lazy to blog last week… hence the back dated post.

We went to Aquaria KLCC on the first week of school holiday (June 6). We reached there just before noon and we had our lunch there. After lunch, we went to buy the ticket. We spent RM78.00 in total for the tickets (2 adults - RM28 per ticket and 1 children - RM22). Children below 3 years old is free of charge. The queue was extremely long due to the holiday season and hubby only managed to buy the tickets half an hour later.

Kylie had a great time there, watching the feeding session. The crowd was crazy on that day. We had to find our way to be seated on the floor to watch the feeding session. I had to squeeze myself through the crowded place while carrying Kylin. I had to speak so loud to be heard, so that I don’t have to squeeze my half big tummy through the crowd.

Kylin was so sleepy after that that she slept on daddy’s shoulder for less than half an hour in the Aquaria KLCC. Luckily we don’t have to pay for her entrance fee, else it will not be worth it.

By 4pm, we were out from KLCC and Kylie bought a seashell and an Aquaria coloring book as souveniors to be brought home. Upon reaching home, she quickly colored her new coloring book.

I went to see my gynecologist very early in the morning on June 20. I went there alone. I had to fast because he wanted to do blood test and blood sugar test for me. I went there as early as 8.30am. I thought the hospital opened at 9am but I was wrong. It opened at 8.30am and I am patient No. 6. Oh well! I have to wait for my turn.

I weighed myself and was shocked to see my weight dropping again. I hope this time it was due to me fasting. Normally, I went there right after my lunch and definitely I will be heavier by a few hundred grams.

When it was my turn, I asked the doctor a lot of questions regarding my health condition. I was having flu and lately I had sinus. Doctor advised me to see ENT specialist if the sinus is bothering me. Other than that, I should be OK. He then drew my blood and separated them into 3 small tubes. The blood results will be ready in three weeks time.

Doctor scanned baby’s face but baby’s umbilical hid his face. So sad. Until today, I still could not get a good view of his face.

A week ago, I received a call from a nurse. She is from the local government clinic (Klinik Kesihatan Anak dan Ibu) and she had my pregnancy file with her. I skipped their monthly check-up last month and this month, she followed up on my case. She ordered me to visit them the next day.

I obeyed her and I went to see her the next day. She ordered me to see a doctor and I had to wait for a very long time. The doctor also was a bit MCC (Mong Cha Cha) when she saw me.

The nurse wrote that I gained 1.9kg in 2 months (using RED pen to indicate alertness to the next person reading) on my file. According to the nurse’s chart, on average, I should be gaining 4 kg in 2 months. But when the doctor read that sentence, she said I gained too much weight and advised me to eat less food, less sugar etc. I was in a hurry to go back to work that morning and I just said “yes”, “yes” to everything the doctor said. How could she possibly read that RED sentence wrong. I didn’t want to correct her at all. It was already a waste of my time to wait for an hour to see her.

Can you imagine a doctor giving wrong advice to a Ah Pek or Ah Poh patient? I hope that doesn’t happen to any of her patients.

How can I be gaining too much weight when my overall weight increased just 0.4kg in 5 months? I lost few kilograms in the first few months after conceiving and now half a kilogram more than my pre-pregnancy weight.

Jealousy… was the main topic between hubby and me yesterday. Don’t jump into conclusion - we were not jealous of each other or anybody.

Hubby was telling me that Kylin, our little girl, was jealous of her elder sister, Kylie. Hubby felt that Kylin was jealous because I gave more attention to Kylie; and Kylin, being the second child, wanted the same attention from me too.

Whenever her elder sister is around, she is very fierce to her sister. She always act differently to get my attention. When her sister is not around, meaning only Kylin and me playing, she will behave properly and she is a very happy little girl.

These was what hubby told me yesterday and I didn’t realize Kylin acted and behaved differently. I have to be more watchful from now onwards.

I am more worried when the third baby comes along this September. Can Kylin accept her younger brother? All my attention will be on her brother and none for both of them (At least for the few months - I hope that’s the longest).

Recently the weather is unpredictable. It was so hot and humid last month and this month - raining. Like usual, I always have to remind my family to drink more water, be it a hot day or rainy day. I was busy doing housework last week and I forgot to remind them. Now, both of them are sick, including Kylie and myself. Looks like I have to remind not only the two “camels” in the house, but also myself to drink more water.

All of us went to see doctor. After visiting the doctor, we dropped De’Little Ones at my in-law’s house before going to work. Kylie’s Suk Suk (my brother-in-law), who was on leave, looked much thinner now. We didn’t see him for a week only. He looked like he was on diet or was taking some kind of weight loss pills, when in actual fact, he was sick. He too blamed it on the weather, coupled with some unscrupulous people burning rubbish near his working place during daytime.

I found one of my long lost secondary school friends through Facebook recently. She posted her baby shower pictures on Facebook, as she is expecting her second baby soon. She invited some of her friends over and they played baby shower games. Her friends, family and colleagues gave her lots of gifts. In return of all the gifts and to make the baby shower party memorable, usually, the mother-to-be will give baby shower party favors to all her guests.

One of the gifts my friend highlighted was the diaper cake she received. Have you heard of diaper cake before? I haven’t. Look at the picture below.

They arranged the diapers in a circle and stacked them into layers. They then decorated the diapers with white flowers before wrapping them up.

Kylie is enjoying her 2 weeks school holiday at Ku Che’s house. I told her to behave herself there and to help Ku Che instead of turning the whole house upside down. I also told her our plan to visit Aquaria KLCC during the school break and she was so excited. But I had two conditions. First condition - she and her sister, Kylin, must not be sick (fever) on that day. Second condition - she must help mummy and daddy to do housework too. As usual, she promised. Since then, she drank lots of water to prevent herself from getting sick and she also make sure Kylin drank lots of water too. For the second condition, she kept on asking hubby and me what housework to do. I gave her some housework to do and she happily fold our laundry, washed the rice and wiped the plates dry. She even helped her daddy to wash the garden urns, which we kept our gold fish there.

I really hope no one will get sick this coming Saturday, so that I can fulfill my promise to take her to Aquaria KLCC.

Last week, while I walked into the dry kitchen late at night, I stepped onto something wet. I didn’t switched on the lights so I could not see what I stepped on. I immediately told hubby who was walking right behind me and he immediately switched on the lights behind him. We checked and found a pool of water right in the middle of the kitchen floor. We looked up and saw water dripping from the ceiling. There were few cracked lines and we could see water stains on the top ceiling, spreading from one corner to another corner. Above the kitchen area is a bedroom. Why water leaked from the bedroom?

We inspected the kitchen and found the water leaked from the upstairs toilet, next to the bedroom. We called our plumber in on Saturday and upon inspection, he found our water tank overflowed. He replaced one small round rubber and that cost us RM30.00. The overflowed water was supposed to be redirected to a pipe in the bathroom, but along the way, one of the pipes were not properly connected. Hence, water leaked from the ceiling.

Hubby did thought of climbing up to the roof to inspect the water tank himself rather than calling in the plumber. We could have save some money if we have Olympia residential steel buildings. Hubby will be more daring to climb up to the roof where they have 25-year warranty on the roof and a lifetime warranty on the stainless steel screws for the roof.

Today is Parent’s Day at Kylie’s preschool.

Kylie and Kylin woke up earlier than usual today. I get them dressed, ate breakfast and shooed them into the car. When we reached there, the teacher handed me a number, No. 7. Wow! So early and number seven already.

Hubby, De’Little Ones and I went up to Kylie’s classroom located on the first floor. Her class teacher, Teacher Gill, was meeting another parent. I waited outside of the classroom. Then Teacher Gill called up number 4. Hmnn… I have to wait. Long wait indeed, as I needed to go to work.

When it was our turn, these were what her teacher told me.

Good: Finished her homework very fast and give to her teacher.
Bad: Made some mistakes in her homework. Rework & passed to teacher again. Then she walked around the classroom and disturbed her friends who are still doing their homework.

Good: She knew what the teacher is teaching.
Bad: Over confident. She ignored her teacher while her teacher is teaching, started talking to her friends or talking/singing to herself.

Good: Paid attention in class (new topics only)
Bad: Mimicked or echoed what teacher did or said.

After the session, we took Kylie home and we went to work. I am beginning to worry now. How do I tell Kylie to behave in class? How do I tell her not to talk to herself in class. Weird right? Talking to ourselves aloud in the classroom?

Talking to her friends - that’s what I wanted her to do - socialize! But disturbing her friends? How do I tell her not to do it? Maybe I have to educate her when it is appropriate to initiate a conversation with friends and when it is inappropriate.

Kylin. Oh! Kylin.

Lately, she loves to follow or have whatever her elder sister is doing or having.

Kylie is coloring. Kylin will say, “Mei Mei leh?” Then she also wants to color.

Kylie is drinking water. Kylin will say, “Mei Mei leh?” Then she also wants to drink water.

Kylie sits on her kids chair. Kylin will say, “Mei Mei leh?” Then she also wants to sit on the kids chair. It must be the same type of chair some more. So I have to buy another chair for Kylin, so that she will not beat and kick her elder sister down from the chair. Both ended crying fighting to sit on the same chair.

Kylie is reading. Kylin will say, “Mei Mei leh?” Then she also takes out her Barney book and wants me to read to her. How to be fair? Who should I read to first? First come first serve or what? Kylin wants me to read to her first when Kylie is the one initiated the reading time. If I don’t read to Kylin first, Kylin will cry out loud. So Kylie will have to wait for her turn.

Kylie is bathing. As expected, Kylin also wants to bathe.

Basically, Kylin will follow 100% of what Kylie is doing. Even when Kylie is playing, dancing, singing etc.

So whenever Kylin refuses to do something, like picking up toys after playing, all I have to do is ask Kylie to do it and Kylin will be more than willing to pick up the toys.

The negative side of this follower behavior is, Kylin is following her sister eating very slowly, upturning the house and screaming during play.

Last Saturday, I went to see my gynae again. I went there immediately after having my lunch and stopping at a discount lights shop. I had to wait for my big girl, Kylie, to finish her lunch, usually she will take an hour or more to finish her meal, before hubby drove us to the private hospital. I need to be there before 3pm and usually I am the last patient of the day. I was at the end of 22 weeks then.

Baby is growing well inside me - that’s the good news. Got bad news? Unfortunately, Yes! But not very bad though. My glucose level is one level higher in my urine sample. Sigh! My next visit has to be early in the morning, where I have to fast and they will test me again. Blood test will be done at the same time. I hate to go there early in the morning, where usually I have to wait very long for my turn. But I have to go. Can I disobey my gynae? I dare not.

However, I dare to skip my monthly visit to Klinik Kesihatan, only for this pregnancy. For my first and second pregnancy, I had my check-up at two places. One at the government clinic and another at the private clinic. AND I never missed or delayed a single check up at these two places. I am still doing the same for this third pregnancy… but this round, I dare to skip my appointments with the government clinic (Klinik Kesihatan) and delay my visits to the private hospital.

Maybe this is due to my third pregnancy. I take it lightly - more experience maybe. Instead of visiting my gynae once every 4 weeks, I visited him once every 5 weeks or earlier, depending if I still have my daily multi vitamins.

I requested my gynae to confirm baby’s sex once again. Why? Apparently, according to the Chinese fertility chart, my best friend and I should be conceiving a baby boy. Both of us conceive in the same month but hers turn out to be a baby girl. She did her amniocentesis test and the chromosomal make-up does confirm hers is a baby girl. So, that’s why I am asking my gynae to triple confirm baby’s sex once again.

Last Friday, Kylie asked me to sign her test papers. She showed them to me before going off to bed. I quickly scanned through all her papers and I was surprised to see 100% on all her 5 papers, Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin, Science and Mathematics. Her papers were pretty easy (at least to me) but I was still shocked to see her scoring full marks despite her having fever on the day (last Monday) she took her exam.

We concentrated on her health and paid less attention to her revision. With her own interest, my sister-in-law said, she took out her books and started reading aloud. She knew what subjects to read because hubby told her what papers she would be taking the next day.

We were busy taking her to see few doctors. Hubby took half a day off from work and brought her to Hospital Serdang on the day she took her papers. The next day, I took her to see another doctor after I came home from work.

On Wednesday morning, she knew she didn’t revise her Mathematics yet. She was sad and then told her daddy that she wanted to read her Mathematics book before going to school. Her daddy then quickly grabbed her book from her school bag and completed revising with her in within 15 minutes. By the time we reached school, we were a bit late, but she was a happy girl again.

Back to signing her test papers…

While I was reading her test papers, Kylie said this me to me, “I get all correct. I am going to get a trophy for you.” I then told her, “You get a trophy for yourself, not for mommy, Kylie. Either you get a trophy or not, you are still mommy’s clever girl. As long as you listen to mommy, mommy is very happy already.”

As I am writing this, I felt so bad for not letting her go to the Bird Park today. Her school organized a trip there and I was reluctant to let her go since she was having fever on and off for the past 3 weeks. She kept on asking me why today she doesn’t have to go to school and I just say because Teacher said no school for you. Then I quickly distract her attention by telling her that this coming Wednesday, her school has Birthday Party celebration and then Friday is Parent’s Day.

She did so well in her exams, and I wanted to reward her. Should I be getting the playstation 3 for her or should I be taking her to the Aquaria KLCC this coming school holidays as a reward for her? I wanted to surprise her so badly since she has been a very good girl lately, cooperating with us, the doctors and the needle.

I took Kylie to see another doctor on Wednesday. Apparently, Kylie had tonsillitis, eczema and blocked ear. Therefore, blood test is not required.

No wonder she kept on having recurring fever, snores at night, itchy skin and couldn’t hear well.

On the way to see the doctor, Kylie told me that she was going to be deaf. It seems that both her ears were covered with wax and the paediatrician could not see her ear drums. I thought she was just saying it and trying to use the new word she just discovered. Lately hubby have been telling Kylie not to scream so loud when he was driving. Kylie love screaming next to hubby’s ear and hubby would say, “Don’t scream so loud. Daddy will be deaf if you do this repeatedly.”

Back to Kylie’s health. At least now I know the cause of her fever. And hmnn… I forgot to ask the paediatrician on how to prevent Kylie from having tonsillitis again. I will read up more on this while reading Colonix reviews from the net.

This is Kylin’s favorite phase at the moment, “I cannot”. She just discovered how to use this phrase and she has been using them, practically on anything she cannot do or refuse to do or things she wanted us to do for her.

For example, her ball rolled under the sofa and she wanted to pick it up but it was deep inside. So she would say, “I cannot” and looked at us for help without even trying to reach for the ball (be it near or far from her). So her elder sister, Kylie, will pick the ball for her.

Kylin is unlike Kylie, where Kylie would rolled underneath the sofa (when Kylie was Kylin’s age) and stretched her hand to pick up the ball. Kylie will only ask for help when she really couldn’t get the ball herself.

Two days ago, Kylie had another fever. Her fever started in the evening and I gave her medicine. By night, her fever subsided.

What’s wrong with her? Why is she having fever constantly? I took her to see her doctor and this time she was referred to Hospital Serdang. A medical officer in the hospital tried to draw her blood but was unsuccessful. Luckily Kylie didn’t scream or cry and she took it bravely.

Now we have to bring her to see another doctor. With all the rush and worry, hubby is getting thinner faster than any fat burner pill. The first doctor asked us to get a second opinion on whether blood test is necessary for Kylie. We will be bringing Kylie there today.

From last Monday onwards, the weather was so hot. Kylie’s sensitive skin could not tolerate the prolonged dry and hot weather. Hence, her whole body started feeling itchy on Monday night.

She scratched and scratched her legs, arms, face, body and practically everywhere until they bleed while she was in school and at my in-law’s house. When I reached home on Tuesday night, I saw lots of bloody scars all over her body, hands, legs and including her face. Oh my goodness! I always wondered how on earth other mothers could ever let her daughter scratched herself until like this, as I had seen these before on other kids I met at the playground. I never thought this could happen to my own children. Now I now this could happened within few hours, while I am away at work.

I immediately took her to see her doctor. It seemed that Kylie had prickly heat or heat rash due to the dry and hot weather for the past two weeks. I had to change her body soap, apply cream on her body and gave her anti-histamine to eat.

In within a week, I could see drastic improvements on her skin. No more new rashes developing on her dry and sensitive skin.

Now I have to treat her scars on her whole body.
